When symptoms become unacceptable

Many people can accept some level of aches and pains. Total hip replacement is not indicated in such individuals.

If, on the other hand, the pain significantly interferes with day-to-day activities, such as walking, working, leisure activities, sleeping etc., beyond what the affected person can tolerate, then total hip replacement, if successful, may allow the return to such activities.
